About Us

Who We Are:
BEFAST Be A Superhero is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to stroke awareness and education. We believe that knowledge is power, and by equipping children with life-saving tools, we can create a world where strokes are recognized and treated faster.

Why did we set out on this Mission?

  • Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. has a stroke.

  • Every 4 minutes, someone in the U.S dies of a stroke

  • Immediate action can save lives and reduce disabilities.

  • Many children spend time with grandparents, making their awareness crucial at home.

Teaching kids about stroke awareness empowers them to take action in emergencies.

What is the story behind BEFAST Be A Superhero?

BEFAST Be A Superhero was created by Dr. Rajiv Narula, founder and CEO of Sevaro Health, along with his 5-year-old son, Ayan Narula. Released on World Stroke Day, this book was inspired by the desire to educate children on stroke symptoms in a way that is engaging and easy to understand. The story follows Sam, a young boy who becomes a hero by recognizing the signs of a stroke and helping his grandma.
